Day 1Marrakech – A Vibrant Introduction to the Red City

Day 2 Marrakech to Ouarzazate – A Scenic Journey Through the Atlas Mountains.

Set off from Marrakech early, driving through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road in Morocco, at an altitude of 2,300 meters. As you descend into the Ouarzazate region, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” explore the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as a backdrop for films like Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Day 3 Dades Gorge to Merzouga – Into the Heart of the Sahara.

Today’s adventure begins with a visit to Todra Gorge, a natural wonder with towering cliffs and cool, fresh air. After a short break to soak in the beauty, continue your journey through the Ziz River, making your way to Arfoud, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you can explore local artisan workshops. Continue through Rissani, a historic town with traditional souks, before arriving at Merzouga, where the golden dunes of the Sahara await. Enjoy a peaceful night in the desert, spending the night in a comfortable guesthouse or hotel.

Day 4 Merzouga Desert – Camel Trekking & Berber Culture.

Today, immerse yourself in the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert. Start early to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes, then embark on a camel trek with a local guide, exploring the stunning landscape at a leisurely pace. Alternatively, you can opt for a 4×4 desert tour for a different perspective of the dunes. Visit Khamlia, a Berber village known for its Gnaoua music, where you’ll enjoy a lively performance. As night falls, head to a desert camp where you’ll spend the night in traditional Berber tents under the starlit sky, truly experiencing the magic of the Sahara.

Day 5 Merzouga to Fes – A Journey Through Morocco’s Middle Atlas

After an early morning camel ride back to your hotel, begin your return journey to Fes, passing through Midelt, a town known for its apple orchards and handicrafts. Wander through the medina with your guide, visiting the Al-Qaraouine University, the oldest continually operating educational institution in the world, and the Royal Palace Gate. You’ll also visit the famous tanneries, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods. Day 8Casablanca – Morocco’s Cosmopolitan Heart
